Brent Motchan is a well respected arbitrator, mediator and attorney with an engineering and real estate background. Mediation
Mediation is a process in which the parties to a dispute with the assistance of a neutral trained in the methods of mediation and negotiation, the mediator, assists the parties to resolve their dispute. With the vast majority of litigated cases reaching settlement prior to trial, and with the uncertain outcome of decision of a judge, a jury or an arbitrator, mediation offers the parties to a dispute a more efficient and less costly alternative to litigation as well as offering the parties a chance to determine their own destiny. Labor and Employment
Starting out in the coal mining industry and then moved to the resort and hotel and construction industries. Mr. Motchan has been involved in collective bargaining, arbitrations and employment and labor matters for over thirty years. He has argued arbitrated labor matters from absenteeism to discharge. He has also participated in employment matters involving wrongful discharges, EEOC and ADA complaints, collective bargaining agreement disputes, and WARN issues.
